Accessibility An honest note
Accessibility
for everyone.
A short, honest note on how we build the site and pack the cases — what we get right, what we don't, and how to tell us when something falls short.
Our commitment
We want every armchair sleuth to be able to browse, buy and enjoy a Cosykiller case file — regardless of how they read, click or listen. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on cosykiller.com.
What we do
- Semantic HTML, proper heading order, and labelled landmarks on every page.
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
- Image gallery and lightbox controls fully keyboard-operable, with arrow-key navigation and Escape to close.
- Form inputs with explicit labels and useful validation messages.
- Warm-paper colour palette tested for sufficient contrast on body and UI text.
- No autoplaying audio or video.
- Reduced-motion preferences respected on animated reveals.
Where we know we're imperfect
A small workshop ships a small website — we test it ourselves and we miss things. Specifically, we know that:
- Some decorative photographs use scrim overlays that may reduce contrast at small viewport widths.
- The hand-drawn brand underline is decorative — it isn't read by screen readers, which is intended.
- Our case files themselves contain handwritten letters, ciphers and printed evidence designed to be read on paper. They are not currently produced in alternative formats (Braille, large print, audio). If you'd like to play and need a different format, please get in touch — we'll do what we can.
Tell us when something doesn't work
If you hit an accessibility barrier on the site or with a case file, please email hello@cosykiller.com with a short description of what you were trying to do and what assistive technology (if any) you were using. We'll reply within two working days.
You can also reach us by post at Cosykiller, c/o RHG Events Ltd, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, UK, or by phone on +44 (0)203 011 2215, weekdays 9am–5pm.
